Popular Malayalam film editor Nishad Yusuf died in a tragic accident. The 43-year-old film editor, who gained fame for his films Thallumala and Unda, passed away. Additionally, he won a State Award for editing the 2022 movie Thallumala. “Police discovered Nishadh Yusuf dead in his Panampally apartment around 2 am on Wednesday.” The Ernakulam General Hospital has received his mortal remains.

T”The Kerala Directors’ Union’s Film Employees Federation posted the devastating news on their official Facebook page.” In their homage to the legendary editor, they said: “The film industry would find it difficult to cope with the unexpected death of Nishadh Yusuf, a key player in determining the direction of modern Malayalam cinema. “FEFKA Directors’ Union extends its sincerest sympathies”.

A number of films, including Operation Java, Saudi Vellaka, One, Chaveer, Ramachandra Boss & Co, Udal, Alangam, One Thousand Lies, Adios Amigo, and Exit, have been edited by the film editor. He had served as editor of Suriya, directed by Siva and starring Kanguva. The film’s November 14 release was preceded by the news of his passing. However, he had also been editing the next film, Bazooka, which includes Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Tharun Moorthy. In addition, he owned the RJ Balaji-directed film Suriya and the Alappuzha Gymkhana.
