Originally from South Africa, fiancée Thea has around 40,000 subscribers to her own channel, TheaBeasty. The 27-year-old, who currently resides in the US, is a published author and a Twitch game streamer. MrBeast claimed in an interview with People magazine that he proposed to Thea during a visit from her family. He told the magazine that he intended a “really private and intimate” proposal, despite his reputation for pulling off extravagant exploits online.

The pair posted pictures and videos of themselves and their dog sporting festive jumpers with the MrBeast logo. The couple claims that they have no plans for a lavish wedding, according to People. “We’re thinking of doing it somewhere on an island where we’re far away from just about everybody,” Thea stated to the publication. “We will not attempt to have a large, lavish wedding. It will undoubtedly be intimate [with] close relatives and friends, but it will also be pleasant.”
According to reports, Thea has already defended the YouTuber after several accusations were brought against him in the previous year. Thea allegedly posted on her channel that she “wouldn’t be with him” if the grooming claims against his former co-host Ava Kris Tyson were accurate. MrBeast later called the accusations “baseless” after he was compelled to look into them. Recently, the two were spotted together at a red carpet event for Beast Games, MrBeast’s new television show. With 1,000 players vying for a $5 million (£3.5 million) cash prize, the series, which was modeled after the Netflix sensation Squid Game, was billed as the largest live game show globally.

However, there has been a lot of criticism over the show, which MrBeast created for Amazon Prime instead of his YouTube channel. He was included in court filings made in the United States in September on behalf of participants who claimed they had been sexually harassed and “shamelessly exploited.” Amazon and MrBeast have not formally addressed the accusations, but in November, he wrote on X that the suspicions were “blown out of proportion.” Reviewers have also harshly criticized the show, which started airing weekly episodes on December 19. Decider claimed it “takes advantage of people’s greed,” The Guardian called it “ugly and tasteless,” while gaming website IGN called it “shallow,” “dull,” and “almost entirely devoid of anything to get invested in.”
