Andrew Tate and his brother will have to go to court today to answer charges of rape and trafficking
Andrew Tate and his brother will go to court in Romania today on charges of human trafficking, rape, and being part of an organized crime group.
Tate’s lawyer said that there is “no evidence” to back up the claims that he or his brother did what was said about them.
The 36-year-old controversial influencer who used to be a professional kickboxer was arrested in Romania with his brother Tristan last month as part of an investigation by the Romanian organized crime bureau.
Eugen Vidineac, who is the lawyer for both brothers, told the Romanian news site Gandul that the defense had not been given a chance to look at the case file from the prosecution.
“I will point this out from the beginning, that even up to the present moment, the criminal investigation file has not been made available to us to ensure the effective defense of our clients.
“In this sense, I would like to point out, at least from this point of view, I am also somehow amazed, there is not a single piece of evidence apart from the victim’s statement that leads to the idea that a crime of rape was committed.”
